How to Delete Your Yomio Account
We're sorry to see you go. Here's everything you need to know about deleting your account and data.
Important: This Action Cannot Be Undone
Deleting your account will permanently erase your profile, all receipts, purchases, and associated data from our servers. This action cannot be reversed. Please make sure this is what you want before proceeding.
How to Delete Your Account
Open the Yomio App
Launch the Yomio app on your iOS or Android device. Make sure you're logged in with the account you want to delete.
Navigate to Settings
Tap the profile icon in the bottom navigation menu to go to your profile screen.
Access Account Settings
Scroll down to the account settings section and look for 'Delete Account' or 'Account Management' options.
Confirm Deletion
Tap 'Delete Account' and confirm your request. You'll be asked to verify this action one more time to prevent accidental deletion. Your account will be deleted immediately after confirmation.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account?
Your account and login credentials are permanently removed from our system
All your receipts, purchases, and item-level data are deleted from our servers
Your personal information (email, phone number, profile data) is erased
You will be automatically logged out of the app and cannot sign back in with that account
Data Retention & Deletion Policy
Data That Will Be Deleted
- •Your user account and profile information (name, email address, phone number)
- •All receipts and receipt images
- •All purchases and purchase items you created
- •Category preferences and spending analytics
- •Any shared family account data associated with your account
Data That May Be Retained
- •System logs and analytics (anonymized and non-identifiable) for security and fraud prevention purposes
- •Transaction records required for legal or financial compliance (kept for 7 years)
Deletion Timeline: Your personally identifiable data is deleted immediately upon request. Anonymized data may be retained for up to 30 days for backup and recovery purposes. Legal/financial records are retained for 7 years as required by law.
Request Account & Data Deletion
If you cannot delete your account through the app, or prefer to submit a formal data deletion request, you can contact us directly. We will process your request within 30 days.

Will I get a warning before my account is deleted?
Yes. The app will show you a confirmation dialog explaining what will be deleted. You must confirm this action twice to proceed—once when you tap 'Delete Account' and again in a confirmation popup. This is to prevent accidental deletion.
Can I download my data before deleting my account?
We recommend exporting your purchase data to CSV from the app's export feature before deleting your account. Once your account is deleted, all data is permanently lost and cannot be recovered.
What if I delete my account by mistake?
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Your data cannot be recovered once deleted. If you accidentally deleted your account, you can create a new account with a different email address, but your previous data will be lost.
How long does it take to delete my account?
Your account is deleted immediately after you confirm the deletion. You will be logged out of the app right away. However, it may take up to 30 days for all associated data to be completely removed from our backup systems due to data retention policies.
