Achievements & Gamification

How Gamification Works

Yomio rewards consistent usage with a gamification system. Every day you open the app counts toward your streak, earns you XP, and unlocks achievements — turning expense tracking into a daily habit.

• • Daily streak: open the app each day to keep your streak alive
• • XP system: earn experience points for various actions
• • Levels: accumulate XP to level up and unlock new milestones
• • Achievements: unlock badges for reaching specific goals
• • Weekly report includes your streak and XP progress

Daily Streak

Your streak counts consecutive days you've opened the Yomio app. It resets if you miss a full calendar day.

• • Open the app once per day (cold start or returning from background) to count the day
• • Your current streak is shown on the Home screen and in the Weekly Report
• • Streak milestones (7 days, 30 days, 100 days, etc.) unlock special achievements
• • A daily streak reminder notification (configurable in Profile → Notifications) helps you stay on track

XP & Levels

You earn XP for actions that contribute to consistent expense tracking.

• • Opening the app daily earns base XP
• • Scanning receipts, adding expenses, and maintaining streaks earn bonus XP
• • XP accumulates toward your current level — view your progress in the Achievements screen
• • Each level requires more XP than the last, providing a long-term progression curve

Achievements

Achievements are badges you unlock by reaching specific milestones. View all available and unlocked achievements in Profile → Achievements.

• • Streak achievements: 7-day, 30-day, 100-day, 365-day streaks
• • Scanning achievements: first receipt, 10 receipts, 50 receipts, etc.
• • Spending insights: first budget set, first category customized, first export
• • Locked achievements show a progress bar so you know how close you are
• • Unlocking an achievement triggers a celebratory notification and animation
